Cruising News

2008: We are aiming our extended September cruise this year back to the Channel Islands as we did in 2006. Please join us! It is quite an experience. Several members just returned from chartering a catamaran sleeping 8people out of St. Vincent and Grenadines. We would love to do more exotic cruises together, since we trust each other as good sailors.

2007: Another fine year. For the extended cruise, we started at Newport, then hopped down through Oceanside, Mission Bay, and then to the San Diego Yacht Club. Standing room only for our September Isthmus BBQ, complete with many new members and way too much to eat. Check out our photo Web page!

2006: The club has enjoyed a summer full of events. June found us at Catalina Emerald Bay hosted at the Corsair's facility. July 4th, we gathered on the Cabrillo lawn to picnic and watch the fireworks. Then at the end of July, we got adventuresome and went around to Cat Harbor. It truly was an adventure as we were there during the squall that started fires and turned out the power at the Isthmus. For September, several of our boats enjoyed a week or more exploring Santa Cruz and other Channel Islands with Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club hosts.
